Fridy night Nov 15 2002, volotair of the security team of Kiryat Arba raced to help idf solders in battle in Hevron.

Alex Duchen, who lived on Hebron's Givat Ha'harsina with his family, immigrated from France 15 years ago. He moved to Hebron ten years ago with his wife Rebecca and the two had four children. On Friday night Duchen left home with his colleagues in the emergency response squad as soon as they heard of the shooting near the Machpela Cave. After they reached the attack site, Duchen evacuated some of the wounded people before he was hit by gunfire and stun grenades and killed. Duchen was laid to rest Sunday afternoon.
