About Hatzala

This is the story that brought us to develop and upgrade the "Hatzala" in "Yehuda and the Shomron"

16 May 2006 my child, Tiferet was hit by a car and badly injured, my wife and I where waiting for over 25 minutes for a doctor to came. Our daughter died in front of our eyes having no chance to be saved, she did not have the luxury for a doctor to save her live or for paramedics to arrive on time to the scene.
Our hope and purpose is that in the memory of Tiferet's costly tragedy, we will be able to upgrade the emergency medical care system and provide a normal level standard of living in towns filled with children. This was our only wish and promise we had to our daughter while she was passing away; our promise to her while we were helplessly waiting for assistance that did not show up! We promised that no other child would have to wait 20 minutes or more for paramedics or doctor to treat them.

The local security patrol was the first to arrive; however, the patrols members where not trained to be medics, or EMT's. We MUST learn from this incident and other incidents that have shown us that in most cases the patrol jeep and security officer are the first to arrive on scene before ambulances arrive. The main reason for this is that the patrol jeep is already patrolling the area, and is always ready to answer any call and to respond immediately.

THE SECURITY PERSONNAL HAVE THE HIGHEST POTENTIAL TO SAVE HUMAN LIVES IN THE FIRST AND MOST CRITICAL MINUTES
.

These units are potentially able to arrive within three minutes or even less. If only they had the proper training and equipment. Amitz has therefore decided to train the security personnel to become EMT's and equipping them with the appropriate medical equipment.

Regular EMT's and paramedic's can not take care of the injured while the fighting with the terrorist still going on. "Magen David Adom" in those cases needs to wait for the injured to be brought out from the battle area.
