Answers for the frequent questions asked

1. "Amit'z" stands for keeping one's fellow safe from enemy hands. It was created by the fast response team's coalition in Judah and Samaria.

2. "Rescue and security" are early response units being called up by pages and radios to respond to terror infiltrations and other security needs.

3. Hatzola teams usually take care of the injured after terror attacks or accidents etc. while response units are there to prevent terror attacks from occurring.
Our EMT's , which are rescue and security medics, are able to take care of the first critical minutes of the injured while the fighting is continuing. These are critical minutes of saving Jewish lives.
Hatzalo on the other hand, waits for the wounded to be delivered out of the fighting scene in order to take care of them.

4. a) The volunteers are regular citizens commanded by the IDF. The army needs assigned volunteers on the scene to be able to respond at the time of a terror attack before the army is able to arrive.

b) The local volunteers know their villages and towns much better so it is easier for them to spot the terrorist much faster.

c) The people in the settlement can be trained in their yishuv more than any other force that must also protect parallel yishuvim.

5. Yes it has. In Alon moreh, Itamar, Yitzhar and other Yishuvim terrorists were neutralized by members of response teams, in some cases, only after civilians were first killed.
