Vehicle
Kfar Tapuach is centrally located in the center of Samaria. On the
junction of the two main roads, The Jerusalem – Shechem highway, and the
"Trans-Shomron" highway.
Kfar Tapuach has one of the most experienced First Response Team's in
Israel. Our First Response Team consists of 20 members of which 8 are
Magen David Adom-Trained Medics, and 3 Combat trained Army officers. We
also have 2 fire department and rescue volunteers. All the team members
are trained in counter-terror combat.The First Response Team responds
to terror attacks, as well as medical emergencies, and traffic
accidents.
There is a need for a vehicle which will be for exclusive use of the
team Such a vehicle would provide transportation to the various
incidents that arise. A vehicle would enable us to store our basic
fighting and first aid equipment, would aid us in evacuating injured
victims, all in a fashion
that would best protect the fighters.
Today, we rely on the private vehicles of team members, creating a problem since vehicles are not always available. In addition, the spontaneous use of member's cars causes a problem of equipment
distribution, where often, not all the necessary equipment is available at the scene, since it is not concentrated in one vehicle.
For example, during one incident, members of the team arrived to treat
trapped victims of a traffic accident, but the special cutting saw needed to help rescue the victims was not available, since the member who was holding it was not in the settlement at that particular time. Instead,
we were forced to wait for the fire truck almost 30 minutes.
